Cagamas SRP Berhad (“Cagamas”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with PR1MA Corporation Berhad (“PR1MA”) to explore potential collaboration in assisting home buyers of PR1MA projects to secure full housing financing through the First Home Mortgage Guarantee Programme (“FHMGP”) offered by Cagamas. FHMGP was designed with enhanced features and broader eligibility criteria to make housing financing more accessible to Malaysians, particularly the B40 and M40 income segment. This is aligned with Cagamas’ mission of Housing the Nation and to support affordable housing.
The MoU signing was witnessed by the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Yang Berhormat Tuan Nga Kor Ming, who also officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for Bandar Mini PR1MA at Teluk Intan, Perak, on 14 June 2024. Cagamas and PR1MA were respectively represented by President/Chief Executive Officer, Encik Kameel Abdul Halim and Group Chief Executive Officer, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Nazri Md. Shariff. The first Bandar Mini PR1MA development symbolises PR1MA's commitment to community development and affordable housing.
